MC EDT

Clear about claim submission

Your billing number and Ministry credentials stay under your control.

Claims go straight to OHIP

clearcodeMD passed the Ministry's MC EDT conformance testing in August 2026 and holds a production Software Conformance Key, so it files claims over the Ministry's web service and collects Remittance Advice, Error Reports and Batch Edit files on its own — no portal, no browser, nothing to upload by hand.

You still decide what goes

Nothing is sent until you send it: open a claim, see what it will bill, and submit that one claim on its own — or send a whole day at once. A claim with something missing cannot be submitted at all; the app says what is outstanding instead. Submitting while you are not there means the app signs in for you, so your GO Secure password is kept sealed by your device's hardware security chip and is never included in a backup.

What syncs

Cloud account vs. encrypted backup

The two serve different purposes.

Account sync

Your profile, practice settings, favourite codes, and a limited financial claim ledger can sync to your account. It does not include patient names, health numbers, images, PDFs, or EDT files.

Encrypted backup

Use a passphrase-protected backup to restore the exact local records, generated files, and images to another device. Keep the passphrase separately and safely.

Not sure whether your workflow is covered?

Review the FAQ or contact support before relying on clearcodeMD for an unusual OHIP combination. You remain responsible for reviewing every claim before submission.
